The Staff Welfare Society of Ekiti State Polytechnic, Iṣan-Ekiti, held its inaugural Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, August 8, 2024, marking a significant milestone in the institution's history. The meeting saw the election of new executive members who will steer the affairs of the society for the next two years.
The newly elected executives include:
Mr. Osadare Busayo Temitayo - President
Mrs. Oloniyo Roseline - Vice President
Miss Adeleke Esther - Secretary
Mr. Olagoke Ayodeji Gbolahan - Treasurer
Mr. Omosebi Busuyi - Financial Secretary
Mr. Adebusoye Sunday - Assistant General Secretary
In a ceremony to inaugurate the new leadership, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Prof. Johnson Kayode Adesodun, represented by the Polytechnic Librarian, Dr. Johnson Ayodeji Akerele, urged the newly appointed executives to uphold the principles of accountability, transparency, and accessibility. He encouraged them to build on the achievements of their predecessors and strive to exceed expectations.
In his acceptance speech, the new President, Mr. Osadare Busayo Temitayo, expressed his gratitude to the members for entrusting him with the leadership role. He pledged to lead the society with dedication and integrity, ensuring that every member's rights and entitlements are safeguarded. Mr. Osadare assured the society of his commitment to advancing its goals and taking it to greater heights.
The AGM concluded with optimism as members look forward to the new executive's tenure, confident that the society is in capable hands.
